SUPERCOMPUTERS:

Just some rambling opinions: Supercomputers in one form or another have been with us from the earliest days. I think they always will be.

The history has been one of proprietary architectures that have required enormous commitment on the part of users, which have only been justifiable to a small class of users
who have some dedicated application like weather prediction that sop up all the CPU cycles you can throw at them.

To mate a multiple CPU machine with an off-the-shelf parallel operating system (like some versions of Linux) with switch/router software, and provide a box which can be wheeled into a facility, turned on and used fairly quickly (if this is what Zuma is doing) is a REVOLUTIONARY move.

I would guess that there are MANY industries in which such a box would find huge use. Also never underestimate the
lust for more raw power on the part of big users generally.

If this is the general direction that Zuma is going then I think that is very exciting. It will be imitated, of course, and I would expect that others are attempting to do the same sort of thing right now as well. However, I think that MRVC's previous activities put them in a relatively good position to bring it off.

I never thought that I would be interested in adding to my
position at $90, but I am starting to feel that lust once
again. If Zuma is anything like this, I think it alone is a
$90 stock.

Am I just participating in financial self-delusion,
or is Zuma as hot as it looks?

Best wishes,
Jim
