I agree, CIBC Investor's Edge service really sucks. I've been using them for about 3 years and have continually sent complaints to both them and my account executive at my local bank. They keep saying they are adding capacity and things will improve, but they haven't. If anything they are getting even worse.

It use to be only their online service that was really slow. If you called in an order, losing 20% saving for an online order, you would get through to a trader in a minute or two. Now it is almost impossible to place an order unless you don't work for a living and can wait on hold almost forever. I called to close an options position a few weeks ago and was on hold for 1 hour and 25 minutes before they got to me.

I'm currently looking for another brokerage, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking at the Canadian ETrade, it's quick tour is pretty impressive and quick but I wonder if the real trading system is a fast. I sent them an email asking and they said that if anything the live system is even faster, can anyone confirm?
