Most true leaders, reformers and men of talent have their quirks, peccadilloes and temperamental rough spots that don't undermine them if they keep it within bounds, which McCain does. Some part of the public, and the establishment definitely, seem to want nice safe bland talentless white-bread mediocrities. That's fine, but look what you end up with, a talentless, callow, smirky frat boy like Bush. This is the man you want to fill the shoes of Jefferson...Lincoln...Roosevelt? Fine: then the people get what they deserve.
