As for shorters, keep in mind the hypster for this scenario for Mr. Silverman. Given his current ebb in credibility, it's hard to know whether shorters or no shorters is the truth. I've talked to my full service broker (at A.G. Edwards) and he says it's possible, though very unlikely. It's something he wouldn't get within a 100 yards of (and would not be happy if he found others in AGE was shorting BB stocks). I also briefly spoke with a finance professor who said, Yes, certain 'insiders' with big $$ working with 'hungry' small brokerages and behind the scenes deals could do it. Also, he noted that "shorting" is often used in BB stocks by some investors, MMs and others trying to manipulate a situation.

Not an answer, but an attempt to get into it.
