JH,

I have not had a chance to hear W talk unedited. I look forward to this. I just know that couple of debates I have heard left me unimpressed.

On King last week he was scripted, and IMO, had real trouble outside the bounds of that prep. This might have been part of a S.C. strategy and it would be tough to argue that it was not effective in light of his victory.

I remember early last year hearing that the party had Junior pegged for the spot, and that there were lots of positives. Good track record in his state and appeal to a wide range of voters. I just have not seen it yet, but I am looking.

The real reason I want McCain is two-fold. First, I think he can beat Gore (who is a puppet, but those working the strings are doing a fine job) and second I want a "wrecking ball" in D.C.

I just know that if Junior wins its going to be business as usual for the next four years. I say this in light of the fact that Junior wants to give me a 6% raise with his cocktail napkin tax plan.

Its going to be interesting.

Thanks

TH
