Hi Eric, thanks for the kind words. As you can readily see, this market segment is growing in potential size, in scope, in the number of players, etc., so it will be increasingly difficult to predict which relationships will be formed, which companies will be launched into the stratosphere, and which companies will ultimately whither and die. That being said, I am still LONG SFA, given the high barriers to entry for competitors, the increased probability of a PowerTV spinoff, and the coming craze and hunger for these services by the residential consumers. (Remember 'I want my MTV' ?) Now, I believe the winners in the applications layer will be partly dependent on the winners in the platform space and partly dependent on which area of services are being provided. So IATV is a winner to the extent that MOT/GI STB's are widely deployed and that their interactive advertising, among several other things, will be a hit. (I am long IATV.) WINK, being closely aligned with LBRT and SFA makes them a good bet too, IMHO, and they are also in interactive advertising (I am long WINK, but I also foolishly attempt to trade it!). If you bought high in any of these companies, I believe profits will be realized in the long run. However, I know no secret info about these or any other companies which seem to jump on board this band wagon every day. Just go with what makes sense, who has been around, where the deep relationships are, and I believe such common sense will dictate the winners, or most of them. best regards to the longs, -Lk |
