JH,

<Do you find McCain's rhetoric hypocritical>

Yes, but then I again I find them all to be. Its a matter of degrees.

There are a couple of reasons that McCain might make a difference, where Bush will not (or at least not to the degree that I would like).

First, McCain will burn bridges. I guess that is what we need at this point. Fools are the people who help him get there when later they discover than not everything is going to go their way (ok no messing with BEER).

Second, the Republican machine does not want him there, and for good reason. He will monkey with the mix, and they don't want that. No matter what Junior says, I do not believe for one second that he plans to change anything. He just wants to get into office.

Third, McCain makes enemies and lots of them. Good, if he did not then I would know that he stands for the same things that the current majority does; which is to waste my tax dollars and find more ways for the state to mind my business.

Last, I think McCain can rise to the office, where I think Junior will just assume it. McCain is an insider, but also an outsider. He is the best we have right now to turn that mess around.

I ask that you take all this cum granis salis, as America is the greatest land and I would trade for no other. It just could be better, and its not heading in that direction with the current leadership. I see little difference between the choices we have. McCain just offers the most potential.

And yes, McCain is as full of s**t as the rest of them.

Respectfully
