Chain saws [of the time] will not cut through heavy steel. It stops'em cold. [ BTW we used the big unwieldy saws even had a two man saw ] An old or loose chain could break but it does not fly around just stays in the cut.

I suspect that the reason that this never was made too public was that the lumber co.'s probably said injury was possible We all know that anything "could" happen....You in fact "could" write in B C for president this time around, could you not?...This is about the same likely hood of some one getting injured in the manner discussed In my [experienced] opinion.

If one logger had so much as a scratch from this we would never have heard the end of it.....Properganda...all sides
