The fact that McCain worked within the same system that he wants now (that he has reached a position of influence within that system) to reform does not mean that he is not entitled to reform it. This argument against McCain is a logical fallacy, an appeal to crude emotions.

If Bush had any integrity or coherence he would attack McCain's reform proposals on first amendment grounds (finance limits limit free speech). Reasonable men can have a debate on those grounds. Bush instead whines "well, he did it why can't we keep doing it now!" Bush's response is, as the conservative Republican George Will recently said, puerile.
