Chilly, The 'Closed proprietary standard' only stays in a tornado for a year or two until a new tornado is formed with a new standard battle. I may be way out of my league for responding to this considering that the only game I've ever played on a computer is the Gorilla Game :), but ... My understanding is that these CE manufacturers depend on software developers to write games for use on their hardware. If that's true, it's an open architecture to some extent. If they provide third-party manufacturers the specs needed for building hardware add-ons, it would be considered even more of an open architecture. --Mike Buckley
