JVC will use this new chip in two next generation DVD players, the XV-D721 and XV-D723, both scheduled for worldwide shipment in early summer. JVC recently demonstrated both of these DVD players in its booth at the 2000 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. JVC has worked closely with the National Mediamatics group on the development of the next generation DVD-on-a-Chip solution, offering valuable technical advice and insight on the key features and functions that consumers want in a DVD player. The launch of the XV-D721 and XV-D723 brings this partnership to fruition, delivering two of the most advanced full-featured DVD players available today - at a time when the DVD industry is experiencing tremendous growth.
