<<The objects of his affection are those in thrall of big government and protection of the political class. He seems determined to keep the surplus in Washington, where the Dems will spend it.>>

How's that again? Pure disinformation. What you say is just not true. It is inside out and backwards, a photographic negative of the truth. You might even have convinced yourself that what you are saying is true, but it's still untrue. By the way, McCain is in favor of spending the surplus to pay down the debt (for our children and grandchildren) and secure medicare and social security. If you think 99% of sane Americans are not in favor of same you are living in political lala land.

<<As for Bauer, he seems very dishonest. His McCain endorsement seemed to shock everyone. >>

If it shocks anyone it's because they can't quite believe down there in Christian-Nazi LaLa Land that a man would act on his conviction to do the right, rather than the politically expedient or Pavlovian primitive right-wing thing. It took courage and real character for Bauer to do what he did. You should look up to Bauer in admiration, not make cheap accusations about his character that you can't substantiate. >>

<<It's clear that few believe what he says. He was rejected and he hates the vehicle of that rejection.>>

No, it is not clear at all. What is clear is that you will say anything, about anyone, without any substantiation, if it serves your purposes.
