yes, 10/15/98
i recall that day vividly as I was short INDU.
it was about 3:15ET after the bond markets closed and i just happened to hear it announced on CNBC.
covered almost as fast as u could blink when I heard the 'R' word.
and was lucky to before any real damage was done.
the only time I was glad I had cnbc up a bit louder than i normally do.
