I just went out to the back yard to check on my swarm of
"ordinary bees". They're all abuzz in a bed of Mexican
heather that is still green and blooming -- we've not had
a frost yet this year. Fortunately they're much more
interested in the little purple flowers than me, even when
I'm running the lawn mower near them.

I do sometimes get approached by wasps that attempt to
set up homemaking under my eaves. I use Raid Wasp &
Hornet Killer as an equalizer. It also works very well on
fire ant mounds -- just stir up the mound and hose it down
with the Raid.
