So, really what you're saying is that you hold a lot more INTC equity than SUNW? I don't follow the Meconium logic though. Solaris *IS* ported, is the ONLY port, and that's on a simulator because the chip doesn't actually exist.

Now that the OS is zero cost to license, why would it be a mistake on Sun's part to back off of Meconium? Intel after all is thinking along the same lines. They're going to be able to better with the free Linux. I think given all of that, Sun would just be compromising the value of the Solaris brand by supporting a 'Solaris' for an inferior platform when there is no need to.
