According to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), for the week ending Feb. 4, 2000, month-to-date DVD player unit sales to dealers were 54,611, a 270.3 percent increase over the same week in 1999. Projection television sales were 15,409, a tremendous 111.3 percent increase.
Year-to-date, DVD player sales are 424,642, a 202.7 percent increase and projection television sales are 107,619, a 34.5 percent increase.
According to VideoScan?s First Alert Reporting Retailers, for the week ending Feb. 6, 2000, DVD title sales remain strong at 755,000, yielding a tremendous year-to-date total of 3,729,000. |
