A tube to the compost pile is an interesting idea, but wouldn't it get grotty? I throw the stuff in a bucket under the sink, and then we throw it into a garbage can, and I need to make a compost pile but haven't picked a place. Oh, but right under the kitchen window is right next to the patio, probably not a good idea?
