what's the value of a piece of paper w/ green print on it that says "federal reserve note"???? it all about perception.. gold is a currency and has been for thousands of yrs. It that cannot be printed in infinite amounts to all who want or need her at a particularly ugly finanical moments to meet debts or political moments to grease the months leading into an election gold is money and all paper currencies lose 100% of their value eventually, 100% of the time.
