Thanks for all of the notes phatbstrd....one question.

Was the MSM5200 ever mentioned? I believe that this is the name of the W-CDMA chip that Qualcomm is developing....but we havent really heard anything since the original announcement in October. I know that it would be extremely unlikely that Nokia/MOT/ERICY would ever use this chip but their are a half-dozen second tier customers who might jump at the chance to use a chip by the company that developed CDMA. Samsung and the Japanese manufacturers come to mind....

Until I see differently, I have to believe that W-CDMA will be rolled out across Europe and much of Asia....the only question seems to be the time-frame and data rates associated with the roll-out. Would Qualcomm need GSM IPR for a W-CDMA chip?
