Good discussion guys. After months of 'no news' at least we know that some have not forgotten.

Regarding solitons, I can only point to several sites I've found helpful in attempting to understand the implications of such, a site at Leigh that contains info. on incoherent dark solitons run by Professor D.N. Christodoulides, & the Princeton site of Mordechai Segev.

Actually, I wanted to ask your opinions on a company that, as of yet, I have not seen mentioned on SI, except my initial post on the MRVC thread where I was speculating as to its potential for containing the 'seed' of an officially unannounced 'All Optical' startup by MRVC.

The company is Trellis Photonics.

Their WSPS's application to WDM's seem quite relevant, & I haven't seen the use of 'electroholography' anywhere else as of yet.

"Trellis' WSPS is used to build all optical OXCs and OADMs with capabilities to monitor and manage each of the DWDM channels. Trellis Photonics' products provide future-proof solution with their scalable configuration and transparency to the protocol and data rate."

Is this a 'bridge into the future' & what could its possible impact be?

Thanx for any input.

Regis
