The "market" doesn't like the acquisition of a bank. All along it's been obvious that Softbank's need for capital is tremendous. I expected a new share offering. Instead 9984 is issuing bonds and now acquiring deposits of a bank. So the share dilution is not happening. It isn't that Mr. Son loves the banking business. He has well heeled partners like Microsoft, Tokyo Electric Power, Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance; Softbank has to come up with sums comparable with what these giants invest in the joint ventures. The deposits are a source to be tapped. In other words, the "market" is wrong, not the first time. That's my take. Any other views?
