Ted:

Re: "2000......$1.85 up from $1.81 last week.
2001......$2.88 up from $2.88 last week.
Q1,2000...$ .33 up from $ .32 last week."

Comment: AMD may ship 2 million Athys in Q1 now that GTW and HP are entrenched Athy supporters. At the same time Athy ASP is unlikely to fall by much owing to the ease of production and introduction to the retail channel of higher MHz processors while at the same time discontinuance of low-end Athys...The net result of the transition to higher MHz Athys is an increasing Athy marketshare and a stable ASP...If the preceding statement is true (imho, it is) and flash contributes at the same rate as in Q4, AMD eps in Q1 will be double or even triple the current estimate of $0.33...Y2000 eps should easily surpass the whole year estimate of $1.85 by the end of Q2, with whole year Y2000 eps at $4.00 minimum, assuming flash contribution to earnings remains stable at current rates throughout the year!
