I do not understand investors enthusiasm for this stock relative to other chip stocks. Consider the following:

CNXT price = 112
LSI = 51
ADI = 136

CNXT calendar year 2000 EPS = $.95 = 118X.
LSI calendar year 2000 EPS = $.95 = 45X.
ADI calendar year 2000 EPS = $.95 = 63X.

CNXT EPS growth rate year 2001 = 27%.
LSI EPS growth rate year 2001 = 38%.
ADI EPS growth rate year 2001 = 32%.

From company earnings releases or analyst reports - calendar Q499 to Q100:
CNXT revs to decline, gross margins to remain the same = profit the same or lower.
LSI revs to increase, gross margins to increase = profits to increase.
ADI revs to increase, gross margins to increase = profits to increase.

Something has got to give - perhaps that was reflected in the relative declines of Friday. So why is CNXT such a great investment at these levels?
