Janice, you miss understand me. Iam not trying to defend Nixon. In any way shape or form.

All I was trying to point out was that If Nixon had done the things Bill Clinton has just done, the media would be all over him, hounding him day and night until he resigned.

Yes, Watergate went on for two years, but it was primarily the investigative work of Woodward and Berstein which brought the truth to light. Watergate would have faded away, like so many other scandels if not for the Washington Post.

Jeff, I applaud the Washington Post for doing there job! not as you inferred. It's just too bad we don't have the same proffessional jounalisms working today. No, we have to depend on the special counsel or small magazine reporters to do the work, the large biased media is too lazy or to afraid to do.
