<<It just ain't so!>> I heartily disagree with all of you. Logging is a very different thing than tree trimming. Yes some of the equipment is the same. Because of all the different stuff tree trimmers have to get up to, into, and out of. It would seem that there is more potential for accidents. Yet, that is not the report I have heard from tree trimmers. There are lots of reports of accidents from Loggers. The most common thing when they hit something other than wood is that the saw immediately becomes dull. Sometimes the chain comes off. Although an annoyance and frustrating; these problems in and of themselves do not constitute accidents, as you have said. When sharp, however, a chainsaw can go through a leg, shoulder or other body part faster than it goes through wood. Any time the cutter is having difficulty getting through a cut it opens the door to a potential accident. Saws do occasionally buck instead of getting stuck or just throwing the chain, especially when you are just beginning the cut and you hit something. There is also the potential for human error when the cut is not the usual straight forward slice and you are trying to meet your quota of work. As ussual, pezz, you are very callous in your concern for the welfare of your fellow human beings when it suits your political agenda.
