Wallace - thanks for the news on the squawk box. I'm living in Egypt right now and am out of the TV loop. What exactly did Eisen say about Bell? As of now Standard and Poors gives it a rating of 5 (highest) for value and a technical rating of 73 on a scale of 0-100. The sale of Mongoose just went through today. Estimates for 97 come in at .24 with a first call estimate of .09 for the 3rd Quarter in 97 compared to .05 for the same period in 96. The implied PE for 97 is 22 and 13 for 98. Having owned this stock for several years has given me a false sense of what will happen next. I wouldn't be surprised to see a decent updraft towards $8-10 by the end of May. Earnings will be announced in eary May. Another positive is that the last four quarters have had increased earnings from the previous periods and there's no reason to believe that this one coming will be any different. As an aside their tangible book value is 3.33/share and institutional holdings are at 34% which in this case is a positive - Once there is something positive to move on we should see people jumping in.
What are your thoughts?
Jim C.
