I also bought cree today on weakness. However, I am preferring common. High IV makes for high prems. Common easier to trade, gives you a 1-delta right off the bat. Nice to sell volatility (as naked puts), but don't care to buy it. Problem with buying high vol, IMO, is that a selloff, in addition to reducing intrinsic value, also has the tendency to kill the volatility premium you paid for (look at QCOM vol trend). Just my opinion.
