shamsee, my little voice says that CSCO is the best buy and hold of all. Your little voice may be based on fear. Hopefully, my little voice is based on superb management.

RE: MSFT

I attended the W2K rollout all day last Thursday. It was, by far, the best product roll out I have ever seen. I believe that MSFT has focused on solving its reliability and scalability problems first and foremost and put in some great features and improvements to reduce cost of ownership by well over 50%.

I believe that W2K will be a fabulously successful product. If I were holding Linux-related equities right now, I would be bailing out fast.

In a nutshell, MSFT has been listening to the critics and customers, has created a vision and is pursuing it with great resource and leadership, imo.

I would like to substantiate my impressions here with facts, but am still catching up on hundreds of posts. Your questions are welcomed, however.
