Athlon is as fast as Willamette at floating point?

Elmer,

I have made two posts on this already, but I wanted to direct this at you because I feel confident that you can show me just how foolish my conclusions are. Please do so.

My conclusions based on Ace's Willamette article are:

- Athlon is theoretically 42% faster than Willamette at unoptimized X87 floating point calculations.
- Willamette is only 15% faster at floating point calculations when code is optimized for ISSE and 3DNow.
- These calculations are based on a 1.4GHz Willamette and a 1.2GHz Athlon
