Re: Alcatel's Position in Mobile Phone Market Thread- Yet another positive surprise for me. First it was DSL, then DCC, then DWDM, and now, mobile phones. I kind of wonder what'll be next? In doing my DD on Alcatel, it's been one surprise after another. Anyway in an older WSJ article(Feb 11th) I just read a story on the mobile phone market in Europe. Alcatel wasn't mentioned by name, but was in a pie chart showing the world's leaders in mobile phone sales. Apparently Alcatel is number four in the world in 1999. Behind Nokia, Motorola, and Siemens. -MikeM(From Florida)
