Brees, I am very familiar with these things. When you learn young you learn well. But having said this I would never recommend use by any one without experience...or prolonged instruction and supervision. Not only can they cut flesh but I can only imagine the gruesome nature of the cut. We ain't talkin a razor here. ...My biggest fear was when cutting up a fallen tree and walking threw the tangled brush and falling on the damn thing.

So I indeed respect the potential for injury. But having said this I also respect the ability of the loggers who use them every day in earning their living. I just don't believe that an experienced logger is at risk from spikes thats all.
