QUESTION....

Are there any specific SEC rules/regulations that would prohibit a company from issueing any new or revised financial or corporate news that would influence the trading value of a stock if there was imminent/pending changes to the company? The changes I make reference to are those which could include a "spin-off", "buy-out", "issueing of additional shares", etc.
Since CCUR has made almost no public statements, and made no major press releases recently that would materially affect the stock price, is a pending major announcement a possibility?
In addition to the above, this period of time is an ideal time for the MM's to manipulate the value of the stock if they were aware of inside information pertaining to the above.
The way the stock has been acting during the past couple of weeks, and the absence of information of comments from the company, I am personally convinced there is something "going-on". My problem at this point is, I don't know if its "good" or "bad' news....
Would appreciate your opinion..
Thanks .....Ted
