with the world scrutiny attached to the "busang saga" the recent comment by FCX's moffet may be very telling...

I would assume (and we can all attach the probability that we want) that Moffet was choosing his words very carefully . If that is so this is what it (inconclusive) means to me.

FCX has now looked very hard at their results. As mentioned by someone a while ago (mr. cohen?) I believe that FCX has tried very hard through a number of retests and reassays etc. to attempt to prove that they were correct in their original findings of "insignificant" gold.
If that is true then all of their work in the past few weeks cannot prove or for that matter disprove their results. The findings of insignificant gold by FCX is NOT CONCLUSIVE!
What does this mean? If FCX had proper controls and procedures on the work that they did one would assume that they would have enough confidence to indicate CONCLUSIVE results.... this does not appear to be the case ... while this does not indicate that the gold is in busang I believe that it points to potential flaws (or unexplained variances) in Freeport's work.....
As I and many others have continued to demand full disclosure on Freeport's testing this comment would seem to indicate that all was not as it was supposed to be at Freeport's end in their due dillegence & procedures....

comments?
