GameDAILY's review of Smackdown = A+: >>The publisher/developer pairing of THQ and Yukes have been the leaders in the wrestling game genre for the past few years, and every installment seems to bring something new and innovative to the game. The two have outdone themselves this time with the most accurate portrayal of professional wrestling ever to hit a home console. ................... Honestly, this game has absolutely no competition. The PlayStation has always gotten the short end of the stick when it came to wrestling games, but Smackdown! should make up for that. Acclaim?s ECW Hardcore Revolution and EA?s WCW Mayhem don?t bring much to the fight because of each being so seriously flawed. Bottom Line: What else can be said about this title? It?s by far the best wrestling game ever to be made for either the arcade or console, and Yukes? ability to re-create the WWF experience is worth every penny.
