I took a quick glance at Ballard Power's profile on Yahoo and came up with some questions: biz.yahoo.com Why are so many speculative Story Stocks based in Canadia? No inferences regarding jdsu or ntel intended. I don't know the answer either. Why have the markets rewarded such poor financial performance a market cap of almost $10B? For the 3 months ended 09/30/1999, revenues were 16,316; after tax earnings were -22,181. (Preliminary; reported in thousands of Canadian Dollars.) Expecting they do MUCH better in near future... Also, when will they issue an earnings report for the period ended 12/31/99? Mar 6. If this company has a bright future, why haven't the normally astute institutional buyers perceived it? With only 8% institutional ownership, it seems only retail investors have bought Ballard's story. what is happening may be that institutions buying... Just a wild guess. Any way to find out?
