JD. i posted the whole fcx news release so you can pull it apart piece by piece and out of context. please note the assaying was not incomplete, they wanted to clear that up. the additional testing, as noted did clear it up and confirmed earlier results. and please also note no additonal drilling was done, now everything is complete. read it over word by word, get your dictionary out and your thesauras, along with your scapel. perform diction surgery on it and see if you can extract any other incomplete , incoherent statements. please do this for me JD, i am relying on you.

4/24/97 =Freeport Still Analyzing Original 7 Busang Drill Holes >FCX

By Ben Dummett

TORONTO (Dow Jones)--Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc. (FCX) confirmed Thursday that additional testing of samples taken from the original seven holes it drilled in March at the controversial Busang gold deposit in Indonesia continued to show insignificant amounts of gold.
New Orleans-based Freeport first announced on March 26 that it had drilled seven holes on the Busang site and that incomplete assay results from these holes showed ''insignificant'' amounts of gold. In the wake of further analysis of assays from the original seven drill holes up to April 22, ''our previously annnounced findings are unchanged,'' said Freeport spokeswoman Kristin Lemkau. She was clarifying confusion in the market that arose as a result of statements the U.S. gold producer made in its earnings announcement April 22.
This apparent confusion partially contributed to the wild ride Wednesday in Bre-X Minerals Ltd.'s (BXMNF) stock on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Bre-X rose as high as 5.75 before ending up 1.22 at 3.52. The issue is currently trading up 0.13 at 3.75 in heavy volume.
Freeport's Lemkau said testing of the original seven drill holes remains incomplete.
However, ''we have not done any additional drilling beyond those (seven) core holes,'' she stressed.
Freeport is doing a due diligence on the Busang property to decide whether to join Calgary-based Bre-X in developing the gold site. Freeport, Bre-X, and a group of Indonesian companies have signed a tentative pact to develop the Busang property.
Lemkau said Freeport hasn't received any drill results from Strathcona Minerals Ltd., the independent firm hired by Bre-X to audit the gold reserves at Busang. In March, Strathcona reported Bre-X might have ''overstated'' results. Bre-X steadfastly claims the reserve holds an estimate 71 million ounces of gold.
Bre-X is expected to receive the Strathcona findings in a matter of days.
