Tom Perkins, co-founder of venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, told New Zealanders trying to boost the country's information technology profile that the Internet stock boom won?t last.

"Can the stock market value of all these companies continue? I don't think it can, I think it's a bubble," Perkins said during a technology dinner here over the weekend.
