P.S. Ron, I understand that historical parallels can be treacherous, but they do reflect an invariant human nature. And Hitler, when he crossed the Rhine, also was a "paper tiger". I am more inclined than some to take dictatorships at their word when they announce their intent. And I think at this point, intent, not military capability is of primary importance. And it is time, I think, for the US it make its intent clear. |
