NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2000--deltathree.com, Inc.
(NASDAQ:DDDC.O), a global provider of IP telephony services and other
enhanced, web-based communications services to individuals and
businesses worldwide, today announced that it made available direct
access from nine European countries including Germany, Austria,
France, Finland, Sweden, the U.K., Spain, Italy and Switzerland.
This will be the first time deltathree.com has offered direct
access services to western Europe, giving customers the opportunity to
save up to 90 percent compared to traditional long distance carriers.
deltathree.com's phone-to-phone service utilizes Internet protocol to
conveniently and inexpensively place ordinary phone calls around the
world. Phone-to-phone calls placed through deltathree.com's network
originate and terminate on the Public Switched Telephone Network
(PSTN), but travel primarily over the company's privately-managed IP
network. Users can make phone calls by dialing a local or toll-free
access number and providing a pin number. They are then charged for
toll and long distance calls on a per-minute basis. All billing and
payment information is handled online through the company's
interactive center.

deltathree.com routes calls over its own privately-managed IP

avoid the significant transmission delays associated with the highly
congested Internet, which may impede delivery of high-quality,
reliable services to users.
The deltathree.com network currently consists of 44 POP's in 27
countries. In addition to phone-to-phone service, deltathree.com also
offers PC-to-phone service from any Internet-ready multimedia PC to
any standard telephone located in any location throughout the world,
D3 Box, a unified messaging service, Click It(TM), a Web-based
e-commerce service allowing a party to simultaneously view the Web
site of a business and talk directly with that business while
continuing to view the Web site and Global roaming: a service enabling
businesses and individuals to use a single account number to place
phone-to-phone calls over our IP network from locations throughout the
world using country-specific, toll-free access numbers.
All deltathree.com services are available directly through the
company's on-line interactive center located at www.deltathree.com.
While logged on, a user can set up a deltathree.com account, receive
an account number and a personal identification number, pay by credit
card for services, find answers to frequently asked questions and
contact customer service representatives. Once a user has established
an account, the user can prepay for additional usage by credit card as
well as access real-time account information that includes call logs
and transaction records. Through the company's online billing system,
a user can personalize the billing information to select the data most
relevant to the user.
