The following statement, from the Attorney General's Office, is being read to individuals who telephone the Offices of Genesis International.
On April 28, 1997, the Chancery Court in Davidson County at the request ofthe Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance entered an order of Conservatorship andissued a Restraining Order concerning the following entities:
Genesis Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. a/k/a Genesis International Financial Services, Inc. f/k/a Guardian Insurance and Financial Services f/d/b/a Academy Insurance and Financial Services Spectrum Management Underwriters, Inc. Big Boss Mine, Ltd. PAP Finance, Inc.
AND
Congress Re-Insurance, Inc., d/b/a Intertech Investment Group, Inc. (a/k/a Inter-Tech Investment Group, Inc.) Financial Guarantee Indemnity Corporation, Inc., f/d/b/a Aldridge Trust, Ltd.
The Department took this action due to complaints that these entities operate an unauthorized and unlicensed surety bond business.ÿ The Department is in the process of carrying out the terms of the court order.ÿ A hearing on the Department's petition is scheduled for May 8, 1997, at 1:30 p.m.ÿ No further comments or information will be offered at this time concerning this matter, and the public is referred to the court file.ÿ If you have questions, you may call Sharon Curtis-Flair, the Public Information Officer, Attorney General's Office at (615) 741-5860. |
