Re: "INtel has over 50 times the capitalization of AMD and yet only makes 5 times the number of chips. Intel had 12 fabs producing 31.4 million chips, yet AMD produced 6.4 million chips 4q-99 in one fab. "

This is pure FUD hmaly. You are simply clueless about all the other products Intel manufactures. You think they only produced 31.4 million? They produced 2 chipset components for every processor sold. That's 62.8 million chips you missed there alone. Add in the flash, microcontrollers, communications devices, StrongArm products, networking products and products fabed on a contract basis etc etc and you are off by about 100 million units per quarter.

Clueless you are.
