Management has been asked to comment on the recent volatility in Scimitar's stock. In
the company's view, the following items are possible:
Andy Gustajtis, a newly appointed director of Scimitar, was interviewed by CBC New
World on Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at 6:30 p.m. on the prospect for the oil industry. In
this interview, Mr. Gustajtis reflected on the current high oil prices and spoke of
several oil companies including Scimitar.
The company is awaiting the results of its Issaran well No. 12, which should be
announced next week.
