FOX Sports World Launches in Los Angeles on Charter Communications; International Sports Network Presents Championship Soccer, Rugby & More

LOS ANGELES, Feb 22, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- FOX Sports World, the only
24-hour, English-language international sports network in the United States,
will bring its distinct programming line-up to approximately 90,000 Charter
Communications subscribers in selected areas of Los Angeles on March 1.

The launch marks the network's first basic cable analog distribution of the year
in the Los Angeles DMA. FOX Sports World will be available on channel 56 in the
Glendale/Burbank area and on channel 48 in Whittier.

"Charter Communications is pleased to provide this most requested service for
our customers," said Tom Belcher, General Manager of Charter Communications in
Glendale. "We believe it will soon become one of our most viewed channels."

best high-profile soccer tournaments and league play-offs, in addition to

FOX Sports World offers live year-round coverage of the top championship leagues
including the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A, the German
Bundesliga, plus tournament action from the English and Scottish FA Cups, the
UEFA Cup, pre-Olympic and World Cup 2002 qualifiers. In addition, the network
telecasts Europe's highly acclaimed Sky Sports News and coverage of Formula One
auto racing.

FOX Sports World recently expanded its soccer programming line-up to include the
Brazilian and Colombian leagues, plus will offer all the Asian Football
Confederation tournaments such as the Asian Cup Winners Cup, Asian Super Cup,
Asian Club Championship, the Afro-Asian Nations Cup and the Asian Women's
Championship soccer events. The Asian Football Confederation covers both Asian
and Arabic countries.
