AA,

I hold it alright; enough so that I'm watching it closely.

I'd like to forget about the shorts, but I can't help speculating and you can't ignore them. Given the low volumes we've been seeing, there isn't much liquidity in this one and it seems to be decreasing. All it will take is a teeny bit of news and we could be off to the races.

Sure, the science will drive the long term and I'm holding on to it. But for the short term, it's going to be purely a matter of financial news and the market. Given the reduced volume we're seeing now, the number of days to cover is increasing. We could be looking at 20 days to cover at this rate and that's not a number I'm going to take lightly.

1999 earnings are not going to look good. But everyone is expecting them to be terrible already so I'm assuming it's priced in. 2000Q1 is also expected to be terrible and it too is priced in. If 1999 turns out to be not quite as terrible as expected, that'll likely cause a revaluation of 2000Q1 and that's probably all it'd take to set this one off.

I think this is a keg full of dry powder. But we need a match....

Thanks, Torben
