Some other interesting points from CC.

0. it was the 670 and LMDS that were the two key areas where there is perfect convergence between ALA and NN, and these are world class leadership areas that the combination makes possible with tremendous growth potential.
1. even though due diligence etc was done, there really are two parallel DSL products and no rationalization plans have been formulated. Clearly there is overlap here.
2. the tax thing is mind boggling.
3. TM plans to hold his shares for the serious appreciation potential. As a large shareholder, not employee, he can provide useful ideas and perspectives to ALA.
4. clear statement that deal is accretive so I really don't understand extent of this stock price decline unless the tax thing has more than just me befuddled. Apparently, this is the first time a french company bought a canadian company that has shares also traded on NYSE.
5. What can I say: I am very bullish on this combination and a year from now we will all be very happy, unless Greenspan destroys our economy.
