As far as I know there have been no attempts by Microsoft to port Windows to high-end Sun servers, or any other large systems for that matter.

W2K on Solaris, I love it!

Actually, there is a serious contrast here ... porting Solaris to Intel was a very managable task; I'll bet porting W2K to Solaris would be really ugly!

There is actually one MSFT product I wish they would port, MS SQLServer. I haven't actually used it yet, but I gather the 7.0 version is quite reasonable and I could use a good solid SQL database which didn't involve the pain of Oracle. Does anyone know if MSFT is contractually prevented from doing a Unix port or is this just more head in the sand?
