...just heard that SUF claims approval was reissued in Uruguay. Crystallex (KRY), as joint venture partner, will immediately mobilize two of four drills from their San Gregorio gold mine. Subject to further exploration, 15 kimberlites are to be tested. KRY will bear the costs.

Depending upon the source, the area is either prospective for diamonds, or a poor bet as diamond exploration goes. KRY says surface samples include indicator minerals suggesting diamonds are present in the area.

I don't believe any kimberlites in Uruguay have been drilled in the past. In fact, it may be possible these 15 targets are newly identified and, perhaps, the first such findings in the country. However, I don't believe any economic alluvial sources exist there. Could the targets be young and little weathered?
