A few years ago I lost money on a stock called MTEI. It was located in Houston and when the shareholders tried to get legal action started we were told that one of the scam artists that robbed us was connected to a judge that was a friend of George W. Bush. We were told that any attempt at litigation in Texas would be pointless because of that connection.

18 % were Democrats in Michigan as per ABC this morning.

What is really sad about the national election is that less than 50% of the electorate even bothers to go vote. Which says little for the process by which a candidate is selected. I think that around 35% of the nation actually bothers to vote.

Reagan enlisted the help of the religious right and that's how he was able to get elected. One thing is certain about the Christian Coalition.......they go and vote. With such a small percentage of citizens that actually vote, the Christian Coalition has gained power.

Up on the Michigan peninsula a town called Holland voted down and important proposition. The right wing constituents of the community had drawn up a prop. that would have stopped public funding to the library if the library failed to put filters on the internet access computers in the library. Thank goodness for the prevailing of free speech and the prop failed to pass!!
