I am not claiming that we will thus achieve harmony, merely that we will continue to muddle along...... So then perhaps our conflicts, oppressions, pains and sufferings are as natural to humanity as storm systems and geologic upheavals are to the earth. We simply cannot judge them definitively. Nietzche implied that humanity ultimately is but a particle in the universe, having no real significance in the grand scheme of things. In other words, it could be crushed and nothing will have changed at all. This, I think, is the gospel truth-- without God. *** Your guy seems in for a hard run of it.
