That is an out and out lie. The republican establishment has spent the last week beating up on McCain because he wasn't deemed "sufficiently" pro-life. The great sin that McCain committed? He was a little unsure what he would do if his daughter was pregnant. There is a de facto "litmus test" that has been enforced on republicans for the last decade, and it is abortion.
